COMPUTER – GENERAL

Komputer Enthusiasts of Greater Seattle -- KEGS was formed in late 1996 to meet the needs of personal computer users in the Greater Seattle Area. KEGS is a nonprofit organization that holds its general meetings on the second Thursday of each month.

Computer Association-Long Island -- LICA's SIGs are special interest groups. They are devoted to various areas of computing. We have SIGs for Multi-media, Telecommunications (including the Internet), beginners, advanced users, and several devoted to various popular software packages, like Lotus 1-2-3, dBase, and WordPerfect. If you have a specialized interest or just a need to know more about a particular area of computing, we probably have a SIG that will interest you.

Computer Society, Inc.-Danbury, CT -- DACS in its present form originated from several local computer organizations. It welcomes all those interested in computing, be they novices, intermediate or experienced users. To members with special interest, there is probably one or more SIG (Special Interest Group) that will pick your curiosity.

Computer Society Internet SIG-Boston -- This Special Interest Group, formerly of the Boston Computer Society, discusses a variety of Internet issues, such as Internet Service Providers, web chat, search engines, Internet protocols, and e-commerce, at the intermediate level.

Computer Society's Internet SIG-San Diego -- The Internet SIG was created in January 1994 in recognition of the explosive interest in the world-wide resources of the Internet among San Diego Computer Society members and as an educational service to the general public. It's members vary in experience from the person who is just thinking about using the Internet to Internet professionals.

Computers User Group-Mid-Hudson -- Our members' systems run the gamut from Apple to IBM compatible, using a variety of operating systems, at home and in business. We range from novice to expert and from amateur to professional.

PC User Group-Rockland County -- Rockland PC Users Group is located 35 miles northwest of New York City. Our tax-exempt organization consists of members who are dedicated to community service and public education with demonstrations, special interest groups (SIGs) and individual help with all facets of IBM-compatible personal computing.

PC User Group Alamo, Texas -- Alamo PC is a 5,000-member computer organization, run by volunteers. Incorporated in January, 1983 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, it is chartered to educate all interested members of the public in the use of personal computers.

PC User Group-Westchester -- We are a nonprofit group located in Westchester County New York. Our goal is to increase the computer knowledge of our 600 + members. Our General meetings are held once a month. We have over 20 Special Interest Groups, or SIGS, that meet on a regular basis and discuss everything from beginner topics to the latest in programming languages.

PC User Group-Central New York -- The Central New York Personal Computer Users Group was founded in 1985 by a small group of people who shared a common interest in personal computers. The group at present consists of over 750 members. As in our beginning, the Users Group is comprised of individuals whose level of skill with computing ranges from novice to professional.

PC User Group-Akron-Canton -- The Akron Canton PC Users Group serves its members in Northeast Ohio at meetings held alternately at Taylor Memorial Library in Cuyahoga Falls and at Stark State College of Technology in Canton. ACPCUG is a non-profit tax exempt educational organization. It is dedicated to PC's running DOS & Windows.

ICQ User List-Austin -- Do you live in Austin, Texas and use ICQ? Then, connect with other ICQ users who live and/or work in Austin, Texas.

Internet Society-Austin Local -- The purpose of ALIS is to increase and encourage communication between people with interests in computers and technology on a real-time, physical, face to face basis. This includes you: programmers, writers, artists, consultants, cypherpunks, email fanatics, activists, hackers, usenet news readers, frustrated computer users, etc.

Internet User Group-Rocky Mountain -- RMIUG is a group that meets once every other month to learn about the Internet through presentations, information sharing, questions & answers and informal conversations. We typically have about 100 people attend our meetings. It should be noted that RMIUG is not a formal organizations and has no legal status, no money/dues, and the meetings/Email lists are run by volunteers.

New Media Association-New York -- NYNMA is a not-for-profit industry association founded in 1994 to support and promote the new media industry in New York. Since then our membership has soared to over 5,200 individuals representing over 1,900 companies.
